L\u2019observation et les \u00e9tudes en cours au Qu\u00e9bec, au Canada et aux \u00c9tats-Unis tendent \u00e0 d\u00e9montrer que ce crustac\u00e9 s\u2019acclimate au r\u00e9chauffement des eaux.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">La saison printani\u00e8re au Qu\u00e9bec am\u00e8ne la traditionnelle ouverture de la p\u00eache au homard qui, au plaisir des petits et des grands, garnira leurs assiettes. Ce crustac\u00e9 \u00e0 carapace dure, muni de cinq paires de pattes (d\u00e9capode) et de deux pinces garnies de chair blanche tendre et savoureuse, offrira un plaisir gustatif aux \u00e9picuriens du Qu\u00e9bec et d\u2019ailleurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Pendant que diff\u00e9rentes esp\u00e8ces de poissons remontent vers le nord pour \u00e9viter le r\u00e9chauffement de leur espace naturel, le homard semblent s\u2019acclimater \u00e0 l\u2019eau qui se r\u00e9chauffe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\"><strong>Le homard s\u2019adapte au r\u00e9chauffement de l\u2019eau<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Comme le mentionne la m\u00e9t\u00e9orologue Carmen Hart pour <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/fr\/environnement-changement-climatique.html\">E<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/fr\/environnement-changement-climatique.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">nvironnement et Changement climatique Canada<\/a>, la temp\u00e9rature de l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re qui augmente, a un impact direct sur le r\u00e9chauffement des eaux du Golfe du Saint-Laurent. Dans ce vaste golfe qui communique avec l\u2019oc\u00e9an Atlantique, on a observ\u00e9 une temp\u00e9rature de l\u2019eau \u00e0 17 degr\u00e9s en juillet 2024. Soit une augmentation de 3 degr\u00e9s Celsius par rapport \u00e0 pareille date en 2023. Une hausse substantielle versus la moyenne mondiale a 1,45 degr\u00e9 Celsius (donn\u00e9es <em>d\u2019Environnement et changements climatiques Canada<\/em>). &nbsp;On constate des hausses de 5 \u00e0 10 degr\u00e9s Celsius depuis les derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Le homard vit dans les rochers et les crevasses dans l\u2019eau de mer \u00e0 une profondeur maximal de 50 m\u00e8tres.  Quoique l\u2019on ait observ\u00e9 du homard jusqu\u2019\u00e0 une profondeur de 500 m\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">L&rsquo;observation du homard<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Selon un <a href=\"https:\/\/cmar.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2024\/03\/A-climate-change-vulnerability-assessment-of-Nova-Scotias-lobster-fishing-industry.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rapport d\u2019\u00e9valuation<\/a> du <em>Centre for Marine Applied Research<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/cmar.ca\/\">(<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/cmar.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CMAR<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/cmar.ca\/\">)<\/a> de Dartmouth en Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse sur la vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 de l\u2019esp\u00e8ce, le homard s\u2019acclimate \u00e0 la hausse de temp\u00e9rature&nbsp;de l\u2019eau.&nbsp; Le CMAR \u00e9met ce constat en 2023 \u00e0 la suite de l\u2019observation de 240 homards dans 6 zones diff\u00e9rentes autour de l\u2019\u00cele-du-Prince-\u00c9douard et de la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures de 5 \u00e0 15 degr\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong><em>\u00ab&nbsp;Donc pour moi, c&rsquo;\u00e9tait une \u00e9tude vraiment encourageante et un r\u00e9sultat encourageant, car nous avons constat\u00e9 que le homard peut en fait s&rsquo;acclimater ou modifier son maximum thermique \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures plus chaudes.&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em><\/strong> &#8211; <strong><em>explique le biologiste marin et chercheur du CMAR, Ryan Horricks.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Selon Am\u00e9lie Rondeau, gestionnaire de la division des ressources halieutiques et \u00e9cosyst\u00e9miques au bureau du minist\u00e8re des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dfo-mpo.gc.ca\/index-fra.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">P\u00eaches et des Oc\u00e9ans du Canada<\/a> \u00e0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moncton.ca\/fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Moncton<\/a>, il y a des territoires avantag\u00e9s par le r\u00e9chauffement de l\u2019eau qui permettent le d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019esp\u00e8ce. La biologiste des crustac\u00e9s explique&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp;Le homard a une grande tol\u00e9rance aux variations de temp\u00e9rature. Ils respectent le quota en fonction des zones de p\u00eache. \u00a9 Unsplash \u2013 John McArthur<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\"><strong>L\u2019abondance et la p\u00eache au homard<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Selon un article de M\u00e9t\u00e9o m\u00e9dia du 2 mai 2024, Jean C\u00f4t\u00e9, directeur scientifique du Regroupement des p\u00eacheurs professionnels du sud de la Gasp\u00e9sie (RPPSG) affirme que la plus grande augmentation fut observ\u00e9e en 2023&nbsp;: \u00ab \u2026on a eu une augmentation de presque 30 % par rapport au record pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent. C\u2019est \u00e9norme! \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">La p\u00eache au homard a connu une \u00ab&nbsp;saison superbe&nbsp;\u00bb en 2023, selon <a href=\"https:\/\/ici.radio-canada.ca\/nouvelle\/2007372\/prix-homard-peche-zone-25?isAutoPlay=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Radio-Canada (info<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/ici.radio-canada.ca\/nouvelle\/2007372\/prix-homard-peche-zone-25?isAutoPlay=1\">)<\/a>. Le p\u00eacheur de homard acadien Norbert Gaudet affirme&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp;en 45 ans, du jamais-vu!&nbsp;\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">L\u2019ann\u00e9e 2024 refl\u00e8te toutefois des r\u00e9sultats diff\u00e9rents en Gasp\u00e9sie pendant que les homardiers des \u00celes-de-la-Madeleine auraient surpass\u00e9 de 6,6% les r\u00e9sultats de 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Ailleurs sur les c\u00f4tes am\u00e9ricaines du <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.visittheusa.ca\/state\/maine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Maine<\/a> qui touche \u00e0 l\u2019oc\u00e9an Atlantique, on constate une baisse de captures du crustac\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignfull size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" src=\"https:\/\/fad-fep.ca\/reporterPlus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/homard_ecosystememarin_agnieszka-milbauer-unsplash_-1024x684.jpg\" alt=\"Le homard a une grande tol\u00e9rance aux variations de temp\u00e9rature. Les <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/fr\/climatechange\/science\/climate-issues\/ocean-impacts#:~:text=En%25202021%252C%2520pr%25C3%25A8s%2520de%252060,'eau%2520continue%2520d'augmenter.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nations Unies\/Action Climat<\/a> observent un bouleversement de la biodiversit\u00e9 marine et une \u00e9l\u00e9vation du niveau de la mer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Colette Wabnitz, scientifique principale de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Stanford en Californie,&nbsp;explique les impacts \u00e9motifs et les maladies li\u00e9es aux temp\u00e9ratures \u00e9lev\u00e9es du d\u00e9placement et de la migration des esp\u00e8ces vers le nord&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp;Un poisson va toujours chercher \u00e0 rester dans sa zone de tol\u00e9rance thermique.
