Dans ce contexte, le futur du journalisme ne se jouera pas seulement dans les salles de r\u00e9daction, mais aussi \u00e0 travers l\u2019innovation publicitaire. La cl\u00e9 de cet avenir repose sur des produits jumelant performance pour les annonceurs et acceptabilit\u00e9 publicitaire par le lecteur.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab\u2009La minute que tu ne respectes plus ton lecteur, c\u2019est l\u00e0 que la cha\u00eene d\u00e9barque\u2009\u00bb, explique Olivier Boudreault, conseiller publicitaire aux ventes nationales chez La Presse. Selon le quotidien qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois, la meilleure mani\u00e8re pour les m\u00e9dias d&rsquo;information d\u2019\u00e9viter l\u2019irritation publicitaire est d\u2019impliquer les lecteurs dans leurs plans de d\u00e9veloppement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-large-font-size wp-elements-a5caaec0f06969dfc6b286ed9d16206e\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:800\"><strong>Acceptabilit\u00e9 publicitaire du lecteur<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Chaque jour, lors de la premi\u00e8re ouverture de l\u2019application La Presse+ sur tablette, l&rsquo;utilisateur doit visionner une vid\u00e9o publicitaire de 30 secondes pour acc\u00e9der au contenu. Un message expliquant sa raison d\u2019\u00eatre accompagne la vid\u00e9o : financer une information de qualit\u00e9 et accessible pour tous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-c24a4e04ab3a84e57db8ff230c0910a2\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:800\"><strong>\u00ab\u2009Le lecteur veut comprendre, pas se sentir idiot. Une fois qu\u2019ils comprennent que leurs yeux ont une valeur, ils veulent contribuer au succ\u00e8s du m\u00e9dia.\u2009\u00bb<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-47d5471b40e583efd75b2f57224592fa\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:800\"><strong>Olivier Boudreault, conseiller publicitaire aux ventes nationales chez La Presse<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019objectif est non seulement que la publicit\u00e9 ne soit plus un irritant, mais qu\u2019elle fasse partie int\u00e9grante de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience. \u00ab\u2009Il y a des lecteurs qui nous appellent quand leur vid\u00e9o publicitaire ne s\u2019affiche pas, raconte le conseiller. Ils veulent voir leur vid\u00e9o.\u2009\u00bb Ce renversement n&rsquo;est pas un hasard. La Presse consulte un panel de 8\u2009000 lecteurs pour tester de nouveaux formats et s\u2019assurer que l\u2019exp\u00e9rience demeure optimale. Les m\u00e9dias doivent aussi livrer des r\u00e9sultats de ventes tangibles aux annonceurs. Comme l\u2019explique Rachel Jalton, sp\u00e9cialiste en m\u00e9dias sociaux \u00e0 l\u2019agence Cossette M\u00e9dia, \u00ab\u2009le fait d\u2019\u00eatre canadien ne suffit pas : les investisseurs s\u2019attendent \u00e0 de la performance. Plus souvent qu\u2019autrement, les entreprises annoncent sur Google et Meta par n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 et non par pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence\u2009\u00bb. Chaque dollar investi doit \u00eatre rentable et c&rsquo;est ce que les g\u00e9ants du web savent offrir. Ce n\u2019est pas par hasard s&rsquo;ils encaissent plus du trois quarts des revenus publicitaires au Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour rivaliser, La Presse d\u00e9veloppe des produits publicitaires inspir\u00e9s des m\u00e9dias sociaux. Le plus r\u00e9cent, Collection, est un format carrousel adapt\u00e9 aux besoins des annonceurs. Les tuiles peuvent, entre autres, pr\u00e9senter des produits, des voyages ou des recettes, accompagn\u00e9es d\u2019un appel \u00e0 l\u2019action. Ce produit vient donc combler le manque de produit permettant de convertir le trafic en vente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bien que ces produits sont ax\u00e9s sur la vente, M. Boudreault explique que \u00ab\u2009le panel de 8\u2009000 lecteurs a tout de m\u00eame \u00e9t\u00e9 consult\u00e9. La priorit\u00e9 c\u2019est que \u00e7a ne soit pas intrusif et que le lecteur ait le choix\u2009\u00bb. La philosophie derri\u00e8re cette mani\u00e8re de faire : un produit accept\u00e9 est un produit performant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Somme toute, cette strat\u00e9gie rejoint les constats de l\u2019Institut Reuters. Leur <a href=\"https:\/\/reutersinstitute.politics.ox.ac.uk\/digital-news-report\/2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rapport sur les nouvelles num\u00e9riques 2024<\/a> explique que \u00ab\u2009les m\u00e9dias qui allient innovation et acceptabilit\u00e9 publicitaire r\u00e9ussissent \u00e0 renforcer la fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 de leur audience tout en maintenant leurs revenus\u2009\u00bb.
